Kidz Saving Lives is a remarkable nonprofit organization with a unique mission: teaching kids CPR. The organization fosters a sense of responsibility by empowering children with this life-saving knowledge. It prepares them to save the lives of family members or friends in an emergency.

Our goal was to design a brand identity that captures a unique blend of fun, youthfulness, and the seriousness of CPR. The design had to appeal to kids and adults alike, be visually compelling, and symbolically communicate the organization's purpose.

In brainstorming, we decided to incorporate a heart and hands into the design. These elements are central to the practice of CPR, with the heart representing life and health, and the hands symbolizing the action of giving aid.

We landed on a design featuring a pair of tiny hands emerging from a larger heart, elegantly utilizing negative space. This created a striking visual metaphor of children administering life-saving care.

Color choice is critical in brand design as it invokes emotions and sets the tone. We decided on a palette of red and pink. Red is typically associated with the heart and health, while pink signifies compassion and care—both integral parts of Kidz Saving Lives' mission.

The fonts we chose needed to communicate a balance of fun and seriousness. We opted for bold, friendly typography that would appeal to children but still be taken seriously by adults.
