Project Summary The original Excel sales report only presented raw totals, offering no view into trends or performance drivers. This limited management’s ability to understand where growth was occurring or where results were slipping.
What I Changed
Derived month-over-month change from the existing sales table
Added summary KPIs including average monthly sales and overall trend line
Highlighted growth vs. decline periods with clear visual indicators
Designed a Tableau layout emphasizing insights rather than just raw numbers
Result
Shifted the report from static totals to insight-driven metrics
Exposed sales fluctuations that were previously hidden in the raw table
Helped business users identify performance patterns more quickly
Delivered an easy-to-read dashboard published on Tableau Public
