Guru is a Lahore-based restaurant and coffee house. I worked across its logo and visual identity, UI/UX and product design, frontend design and development, backend development, DevOps, and mobile application.
The project brought the customer-facing brand and the ordering experience into the same product: a recognizable identity, a visual menu, branch context, item customization, and an order-review flow.

The product challenge

A restaurant website has to do more than introduce the food. It needs to help a customer move from interest to a clear ordering decision. Branch selection, delivery or pickup, menu categories, product options, and cart review all affect that journey.
For Guru, the design needed to preserve the warmth of the brand while making those choices understandable and consistent.

My contribution

UI/UX and product design: I worked on the customer journey, information hierarchy, and interface design across discovery and ordering. The experience keeps the selected branch visible and gives customers a structured path through categories, items, customization, and cart review.
Logo and visual identity: I worked on the Guru logo and the visual language carried through the digital experience. The distinctive wordmark, charcoal surfaces, warm orange accents, rounded controls, and food imagery create a recognizable product identity.
Frontend design and development: I translated the interface into the customer-facing website and its interactive states, including navigation, menu browsing, branch selection, item options, and the cart experience.
Backend development: My scope also included the backend work supporting the digital product, connecting the customer-facing experience to the application behind it.
DevOps: I worked on deployment and the operational side of delivering the product.
Mobile application: My contribution extended to Guru’s mobile application alongside the website.

Design decisions visible in the product

Establish the branch context before ordering and make it easy to change.
Use category navigation and image-led cards to help customers scan a broad menu.
Put customization choices and their price effects together in one focused interaction.
Give customers a cart review with the selected option, quantity, edit/remove controls, and subtotal before checkout.
Carry the same visual identity from the homepage into the transactional interface.

Delivered experience

Guru combines brand presentation with a working online ordering interface. The project reflects my ability to work across design and engineering, connecting the visual identity and customer journey with frontend, backend, and deployment responsibilities.
