Spec project for Criter.ai, published with Criter.ai's approval. We rebuilt the company's pre-seed deck from its public information, with the source of every figure noted before a slide was drawn.
Brief
Criter.ai pairs instant AI answers to immigration questions with a licensed lawyer's sign-off. The product makes two promises at once: the speed of AI and the accountability of a lawyer. Lean on either one and the company sounds like every chatbot or every law firm. Each slide had to hold that balance, and every number had to stay traceable.
Architecture and design system
The company's public material was collected and the source of every figure noted before a slide was drawn.
Twelve slides run from the problem to the ask, with proof, market, model and team in between.
Each slide makes one claim in a serif headline and backs it with one diagram or table: the three-step flow, a mistake the lawyer catches, the two-sided marketplace, and a comparison with forums, agents and chatbots.
Motion and visual delivery
The deck is set in HTML and CSS with dot navigation, a slide counter and arrow-key control, and the same file prints to a twelve-page PDF in headless Chrome.
Impact
Sources printed on the data slides, so an investor can check the figures.
A roadmap labelled directional, so it promises nothing the company has not committed to.
Measured on the published build (Chromium 141, Lighthouse 12.8 desktop preset, October 2026):
Lighthouse performance 100: largest contentful paint 0.4 s, total blocking time 0 ms, layout shift 0.
Spec redesign of Criter.ai's pre-seed deck, published with Criter.ai's approval. Twelve slides, one claim each, with sources printed on every data slide, running in the browser with a matching PDF.
