Breakdown
At it’s core we look at Notion as a way to connect and optimize the flow of information across an organization. It’s not really a tool with a specific purpose - it’s more like collection of parts that allows the end user to build their own unique toolkits and systems.
This aligns pretty well with Notion’s goal of “making toolmaking ubiquitous.” Notion makes it possible for their users to create their own system from scratch, which is great, but what we found in practice, were two things:
Teams running into the “blank page problem” and not knowing where to start.
Teams dumping all their thoughts into random pages that exist throughout the workspace, with no underlying or inherit structure.
So we built NODE - the foundations for an optimized Notion workspace.
Node - “A point at which lines or pathways intersect or branch; a central or connecting point.”
Notion should be the central connecting point of information and knowledge shared across your organization. Built on a system that is simple, scalable, and connected.
