Designing a 0→1 web app for learners & enterprise clients

Mastrainers is a course-selling platform I designed 0-to-1, now live, serving both individual learners and enterprise clients. I designed both sides:

a learner dashboard for browsing, purchasing, and completing courses, and

a full admin CRUD toolset for managing courses, learners, certifications, and verification.

Built across three iterations, the platform covers authentication, Stripe payments, dual grid/list browsing, and a certificate system that unlocks on completion.

Mastrainers needed to sell courses online, but had nothing to sell them from, no existing product, no established patterns, no user base to design against. And a course-selling business isn't just a storefront: it needed two working sides at once, not one.

Learners who need to discover, evaluate, purchase, and complete courses

Admins who need to manage that catalog, the learners taking it, and who's allowed in

With no existing product to reference, I treated this as two connected but distinct design problems, working through three iterations to get both right.

Account creation and authentication

Course purchase flow integrated with Stripe

A certificate system that stays locked until a course is actually completed

Full CRUD tooling for course management, 40+ distinct admin screens across the build

Learner and enrollment management, including sign-up verification, either automated by email or handled manually by an admin on demand

Course catalog oversight: pricing, categories, levels, ratings, and enrollment counts, all sortable and searchable

Course content is delivered via SCORM packaging, a third-party e-learning content standard, embedded specifically within the Course Details screen. That meant the content layer wasn't fully mine to design; I designed the surrounding experience to work around an embedded player instead of owning that screen outright. The constraint was scoped to that one screen; it didn't touch the broader catalog or browsing experience.
