Oodles Energy is a Startup (electrical vehicle sector) that offers Charging as a Service (CaaS) for property owners and property management. The subscription-based model is ideal for teams looking to outsource the installation, operation, and ongoing maintenance of EV charging amenities for their multifamily residences.
II. Challenges Faced
Limited Experience in EV Sector: As this was my first project involving EV charging infrastructure, I needed to quickly acquire knowledge about relevant regulations, safety protocols, and technical specifications.
Navigating New Partnerships: Building strong working relationships with external vendors specializing in EV charging infrastructure was crucial for project success.
Developing Standardized Processes: Oodles Energy was still in its early stages, and establishing standardized workflows for project management and client communication was an essential step.
III. My Strategic Role
As a Engineering and Operations Project Manager, my responsibilities are:
Project Management: Overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of EV charging infrastructure installation projects for various multifamily residences.
Internal/External Collaboration: Coordinating internal resources, such as engineering teams and project managers, while ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with external vendors for equipment procurement and installation.

Stakeholder Management: Fostering positive client and stakeholder relationships by providing regular updates, efficiently managing expectations, and addressing potential concerns.
Operational Efficiency: Identifying and streamlining processes to improve overall business efficiency, leading to faster project delivery and improved scalability for Oodles Energy.
Process Optimization: Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in workflows, implementing process improvements and automation solutions to optimize business operations and reduce manual effort.
