Oodles Energy is a Startup (electrical vehicle sector) that offers Charging as a Service (CaaS) for property owners and property management. The subscription-based model is ideal for teams looking to outsource the installation, operation, and ongoing maintenance of EV charging amenities for their multifamily residences.

Limited Experience in EV Sector: As this was my first project involving EV charging infrastructure, I needed to quickly acquire knowledge about relevant regulations, safety protocols, and technical specifications.

Navigating New Partnerships: Building strong working relationships with external vendors specializing in EV charging infrastructure was crucial for project success.

Developing Standardized Processes: Oodles Energy was still in its early stages, and establishing standardized workflows for project management and client communication was an essential step.

As a Engineering and Operations Project Manager, my responsibilities are:

Project Management: Overseeing the successful planning, execution, and completion of EV charging infrastructure installation projects for various multifamily residences.

Internal/External Collaboration: Coordinating internal resources, such as engineering teams and project managers, while ensuring seamless communication and collaboration with external vendors for equipment procurement and installation.  

Project Management Tools: Utilizing monday.com, a project management software, to manage task lists, track project progress, monitor resource allocation, and maintain comprehensive project documentation.  

Stakeholder Management: Fostering positive client and stakeholder relationships by providing regular updates, efficiently managing expectations, and addressing potential concerns.

Operational Efficiency: Identifying and streamlining processes to improve overall business efficiency, leading to faster project delivery and improved scalability for Oodles Energy.

Process Optimization: Identifying bottlenecks and inefficiencies in workflows, implementing process improvements and automation solutions to optimize business operations and reduce manual effort.

Risk Management: Proactively identifying potential risks and challenges in projects, developing contingency plans, and resolving issues quickly to maintain smooth workflows and ensure successful project outcomes.

CRM and Reporting: Optimizing the CRM process to effectively track leads, manage client relationships, and generate insightful reports about project performance.

My strategic role in this project involved several key functions:

CRM Implementation: Developed and implemented a robust CRM system within monday.com to track leads, manage client interactions, and maintain project-specific data.

Reporting and Analytics: Collaborated with the internal data team to establish reporting dashboards within monday.com to track key project metrics like budget adherence, timeline milestones, and client satisfaction.

Process Optimization: Identified recurring bottlenecks in project workflows, particularly regarding permit approvals and communication with external vendors. Implemented automated reminders and communication protocols to streamline processes.

On-Time Project Delivery: All the EV charging infrastructure projects were completed successfully within the agreed-upon timelines.

Improved Client Satisfaction: Regular communication and timely project updates ensured that clients were kept informed and satisfied.

Streamlined Operations: Developed standardized workflows and implemented automation solutions to optimize project management, resulting in faster project delivery and reduced administrative burden.
