I led the redesign of a mission-critical maintenance and asset-management dashboard for an Australian ports organisation, as part of Blueprint Intelligence’s Clarity analytics ecosystem. The client’s legacy interface suffered from data fragmentation, lack of clarity in compliance reporting, and poor visibility into maintenance performance. These challenges inhibited fast, confident decision-making across multiple operational teams.

The core objective was simple yet strategically significant: transition a cluttered, siloed reporting tool into a user-centred, intuitive interface that enables actionable insights and drives measurable business outcomes.

Guided by UX design principles - clarity, hierarchy, consistency, and task-oriented workflows, I created a layout that empowers users to quickly grasp the state of their operations and act with confidence:

The impact of the redesign was both practical and strategic. Decision-makers gained a single source of truth that integrates maintenance schedules, compliance metrics, asset health trends, and work-order performance in real time- directly addressing the organisational need for data-driven insights that replace reactive decision-making with forward-looking strategies.

Executives reported improved confidence in their planning processes, planners reduced time spent reconciling data sources, and maintenance supervisors were able to reallocate resources more proactively. As highlighted in client feedback, the visual clarity and usability of the dashboards elevated confidence in asset performance reporting and contributed directly to cross-departmental alignment and operational governance.
