Project: Xanath Pâtisserie

Xanath Pâtisserie is a local business founded in 2019. The owner, Ana, sells beautiful and delicious cakes. The flavors she combines in her creations are simple, but very traditional and she wanted her logo to represent that.

The story.

When she first reached out, she told me that she liked the name Xanath because it represented the aztec origin of the vanilla flavor. In the Aztec culture, Zanat was the nectar of the gods, so Ana wanted to reinforce that concept and use it for her brand. One of her most popular ingredients is vanilla. This spice is derived from the orchid family, so the use of the symbol of the orchid was a must.

The goal.

The first goal was to use the concept of an orchid (or something along that line) so that we could enhance and communicate the right message. After that, we wanted to integrate the elements alongside an ideal font that represented elegance, and tradition at the same time.

The solution.

The flower represents the orchid, and the dotted half circle over it represents the exciting feeling that people get when they taste vanilla. The font (Signatura Script on the word "Xanath") represents the elegance of the brand, and it contrasts with the simple Sans Serif font I used for the word "Pâtisserie" (Quicksand Regular).
