The ARC Video team came to us in June of 2020, in the midst of the Corona Virus — they had funding, a good marketing team and needed a product design team to help them put their vision onto a canvas as they had development teams waiting to dive into the codebase to implement all the functionalities of this vast application.

In June 2020, during the COVID-19 crisis, ARC Video had funding and marketing resources ready but lacked a dedicated product design team to crystallize their vision into a functional design before development could begin.

The team required a well-thought-out design framework for a vast application focused on group video meetings, including features like video sharing, interactive controls, and dynamic layouts, ensuring a smooth and engaging user experience.

We worked on this awesome tool for teams to meet virtually, creating the entire video-sharing experience from scratch. This gave us the opportunity to research how other platforms handled group videos, user interactions, layouts, and controls, and use those insights to shape a more thoughtful and intuitive experience.

We built this platform for responsive web, iOS, and Android, and we were genuinely thrilled to work on it. The project pushed us to consider every possible use case for video calls, from one-on-one chats to group calls with three, eight, or more participants.

From initial concepts to beta testing, we partnered closely with the ARC team to design the full UI and user experience, ensuring it felt seamless across all devices and call scenarios.

Our collaboration with the ARC Video team resulted in the creation of a thoughtfully designed virtual meeting platform tailored for dynamic team interactions. By researching industry standards and exploring user expectations, we crafted an intuitive video-sharing experience from the ground up. With a strong foundation in place, the ARC development team was able to move forward confidently, implementing a product that balanced usability, functionality, and flexibility—crucial for remote collaboration in an increasingly digital world.
