"El Camino Mercado" Series | Poster Design

Being tasked with creating the poster and branding for a brand new event at The Range, I knew I had to nail every aspect of the poster. I wanted to make the poster feel very "Las Cruces, NM" to make it stand out among the other simmilar events that happen in town.

My favorite part of this poster is the boarder I created, along with the color in the roadrunner. I really wanted to make the poster feel as vintage as possible, something that would have been created long ago in the town's past. My love of attention to detail and love of vintage/retro designs go hand in hand, I love spending extra time on a project to make it look as authentic as possible.

One of my favorite parts of design is the typography. I love to make text look pretty, like it was actually printed on the paper, and adding subtle shadows to each letter to emulate the 3D effect of real text placed on paper.

My designs for The Range have helped me create my own style that is distinctly me, and also being distinctly "The Range." And I knew my hardest task was making our poster stand out among the various other markets in town, while still being my our distinct style, that's easilly recognizable to be us.
