Minimal Crypto Portfolio & Trading Dashboard UI

I designed a crypto finance app interface focused on clarity, trust, and quick decision-making. This project explores how to simplify complex crypto data (prices, charts, wallets, P2P, and trades) into a clean, modern dashboard that feels friendly even for beginners while still powerful for experienced users.
This Behance post includes a screen recording of the full user flow, showing how users can:
1. View their overall portfolio performance
2. Track top coins & watchlist
3. Check live charts & market trends
4. Start a buy/sell flow in a few taps
5. Navigate the app without feeling overwhelmed
Context & Problem
Crypto apps are usually:
1. Too cluttered – Too many numbers, charts, and tabs on one screen.
2. Confusing for beginners – Users don’t know where to start: “Portfolio? Markets? Trade? Wallet?”
3. Poor hierarchy – Everything looks important, so nothing feels clear.
4. Low trust – If the UI looks messy or unprofessional, users feel like their money isn’t safe.
The main problems I wanted to solve with this design:
1. Information Overload
Crypto users get bombarded with charts, prices, percentages, and terms. It’s easy to get lost, especially on mobile screens.
2. Unclear Primary Action
On many crypto apps, users have to think too much just to figure out:
> “Where do I actually buy/sell?”
“Where’s my total balance?”
3. Trust & Safety Perception
Money-related apps need to instantly feel reliable. Visual noise, poor spacing, or inconsistent styles can make users feel unsafe.
Design Goals
I set three main goals for this UI:
1. Make complex data feel simple
Clear hierarchy for balance, profit/loss, and coin list
Use cards, spacing, and typography to guide the eye
2. Highlight key actions
Make the main CTA (e.g. “Buy / Sell” or “Trade”) stand out
Reduce steps needed to perform common actions
3. Build visual trust
Clean, minimal layout
Consistent iconography and color usage
Use color intentionally (e.g. green/red for P/L, accent color for primary actions)
Solution & UX Approach
1. Home / Portfolio Dashboard
I designed the home screen to answer one question first:
> “How am I doing overall?”
Key elements:
Top section: Total portfolio balance + % change (daily/weekly)
Small performance chart: Quick visual of how the portfolio is moving
Secondary stats: e.g. total profit, number of assets, available balance
This helps users understand their status at a glance before diving into details.
2. Asset List & Watchlist
Below the main balance, I added:
Holdings list: Coins the user owns with:
Coin name & symbol
Current price
24h change
Amount held & value
Watchlist section: Coins the user is tracking, not yet owned
I focused on:
Consistent alignment of numbers
Soft dividers or cards so each row is easy to scan
Keeping only essential info on each row to avoid visual overload
3. Trading Flow (Buy / Sell)
In the video, I show the flow from Dashboard → Coin Details → Buy/Sell screen.
For the trade screen, I:
Made the action buttons very obvious (Buy / Sell)
Used simple input fields:
Enter amount in fiat or crypto
Show real-time conversion
Show fee + total summary clearly before confirming
Goal: let users complete a trade confidently without feeling scared or confused by the interface.
4. Coin Detail Screen
The coin detail view includes:
Coin name, logo, and current price
Timeframe switcher (24h, 7d, 1m, etc.)
Line/candle chart (depending on your design)
Key stats: market cap, volume, circulating supply
Quick Buy / Sell CTA
The layout is built so the chart and price get priority, while the stats are still accessible without cluttering the view.
5. Visual Language & UI Style
Style decisions:
Color palette: A dark or soft neutral background with 1–2 accent colors for actions and highlights (depending on your design).
Typography: Clear hierarchy between headings (balances), labels, and data values.
Spacing: Generous padding and spacing between sections so the interface feels breathable, not cramped.
Icons: Simple line icons to support navigation and reinforce key actions (home, markets, wallet, profile, etc.).
Overall aim: A modern fintech look that feels professional, calm, and trustworthy.
Tools Used
You can adjust this to match what you actually used:
Design Tool: Figma
Prototype: Figma Smart Animate / Interactive Components
Recording: Screen recorder
What the Screen Recording Shows
In the screen recording, I walk through the main user journey:
1. Landing on the portfolio dashboard
2. Scrolling through assets and watchlist
3. Tapping on a coin to open the detail view
4. Starting a Buy/Sell flow
5. Navigating between bottom tabs (e.g. Home, Markets, Wallet, Profile)
The recording is focused on UX flow, smooth transitions, and how the layout guides the user step by step.

I designed a clean and minimal crypto app UI focused on clarity, trust, and fast decision-making. The dashboard helps users quickly understand their portfolio, track coins, and start trades without feeling overwhelmed by charts and numbers. This screen recording shows the full flow from portfolio overview to coin details and buy/sell actions, with a visual style inspired by modern fintech products.
