Affirmation & Meditation Mobile App UX/UI Design | Kalibrate

Kalibrate is a mobile application for generating affirmations and listening to self-development courses. The main goal of the project was to create a space for getting into a positive mindset, meditating and improving emotional well-being through regular listening to and repeating affirmations. Our goal was to design a mobile app experience that feels deep and calming, and that turns affirmations from a one-time activity into a consistent daily practice.

Providing affirmations alone isn't enough. The app had to convey the real value and vibe of the idea and motivate users to apply the technique consistently. Without a clear sense of progress and a reason to come back every day, users would quickly lose interest.

The challenge was to combine content, motivation and progress tracking in one simple, calming interface.

We started with strategy: problem definition, kick-off, briefing and a shared project repository. Then we moved into research, including competitor analysis, information architecture, a lo-fi prototype and a clickable lo-fi prototype to validate the structure early.

The information architecture covers registration and login, the home page, library, playlists, lessons, courses, an AI generator with history, and a personal journey with progress, skills and life balance. In the design stage, we created a moodboard and explored three color concepts (soft pastel green, light muted blue and warm peach-chocolate), each built around emotions like calm, balance and resilience. We then added animation and built a high-fidelity prototype, followed by testing with a clickable hi-fi prototype, a design system and final file preparation.

The home page brings together recommended suggestions based on preferences, saved items, daily tasks for better goal achievement, plus quick access to search, notifications, profile and gifts.

Users can generate personalized affirmations with AI and return to them anytime through the generation history.

A thoroughly designed audio player lets users change the background melody, choose the best narration voice and select an animation for display, making every session feel personal.

Developmental courses, lessons and properly categorized affirmations give structure to the practice. The journey section tracks progress, skills and life balance with various statistics to keep motivation high.

The final design delivers a calm, immersive mobile app experience that motivates users to practice affirmations daily through tasks, courses, categorization and progress statistics. A dark blue palette reflects depth and tranquility, while Garnett typography and soft animated shapes give Kalibrate a recognizable, soothing identity backed by a consistent design system.
