Solution. Timesheet and payroll sit in one Excel workbook built on standard formulas with no macros, and the same file was tested in Google Sheets with every total matching. Hours are calculated for you, including night shifts over midnight and unpaid breaks. Overtime is counted per week, with the 40 hour threshold and the 1.5 rate set on a Settings sheet. A row with a problem, such as an unknown employee, a missing time or a shift over 14 hours, turns red and is never paid silently; the Summary shows how many rows need a look.
