Website catalogue to Excel, with a changes sheet

Flow Lab

Flow Lab

Task. Collect a whole website catalogue into a spreadsheet you can work with right away, and see on the next run what changed.
Solution. The collector walks the catalogue page by page and opens every product: title, category, price, stock, rating, UPC and link. Prices and stock are saved as numbers, so sorting, filters and formulas work at once. Every run adds a Changes sheet with new and removed items and each changed field, old value and new value; the previous file stays next to it. If the site changes its layout and a field stops matching, nothing is saved and the script says which field went missing, so you never receive an empty spreadsheet.
Public data only, robots.txt respected, with a pause between requests. Demo on books.toscrape.com, a public sandbox made for scraping practice; no client. For your site the first step is one section exported in a day, from $60.

Collects a whole catalogue into Excel with real numbers, and a Changes sheet on every run shows what is new, gone or different. Demo on a practice site.
