The Academic Library Management System is an online dashboard that automates and streamlines the key tasks and responsibilities of a librarian. The system provides a centralized location for managing the library's collection, tracking users and their borrowing activities, and generating reports.
Target Users:
The primary users of this system are librarians and library staff responsible for managing the library's collection and user activities.
Project Goals:
- To create an intuitive and user-friendly dashboard that makes it easy for librarians to manage the library's collection and user activities.
- To provide real-time information about the library's collection, registered users, and user activities.
- To automate and streamline library tasks, reducing the workload on the librarian and library staff.
- To create a secure system that only authorized librarians can access.
Key Features:
- Library Overview: Provides an overview of the library's collection, including the number of books, audio-visual materials, magazines, journals, newspapers, and other reading materials. Also, provides an overview of registered users, their borrowing history, and any overdue books.
- User Management: Allows librarians to add, edit and delete user accounts, as well as view information about all library users.
- Book Management: Allows librarians to add, edit and delete books, as well as view information about all library books.
- Book Issuance: Allows librarians to issue books to users and track the borrowing history of each book.
- Activity Log: Provides a log of all user activities in the system, such as book issuances and returns, user registration and updates, and other library-related activities.
Account Management: Allows librarians to manage their own account information, such as their password and personal details.
