I designed a jacket intended to be produced for the F/W season that is visually and conceptually grounded within the Ghostn universe and informed by the Darkness Deity narrative.
The goal was to translate lore into a functional, wearable object - creating a product that feels like it belongs inside the world of Ghostn rather than a standalone product.
Narrative Context
The jacket exists as a functional artifact tied to the Darkness Deity mythology. The story revealing the Darkness Deity serves as the origins of an in-universe organization called the Urbex Rescue Unit (formerly dept) which conducts search and rescue among the many abandoned urban areas in parts of old cities. This jacket made of any material and utility they had available to them served as their uniform.
Design Approach
The design prioritizes
- Longevity over trend-based aesthetics
- Sustainability with recycled materials
- Subtle narrative cues rather than overt graphics
- Practical construction aligned with Ghostn's universe
Conceptual design details exploring narrative-driven elements, emphasizing visual cues and functional motifs aligned with the story of the world.
I designed two drafts and had ended up going with the cropped version
