From Wix to Kajabi:
Qualified Nutrition’s Website Migration
Project overview
Qualified Nutrition is an online education business offering training for people interested in developing their nutrition knowledge and working with clients.
Its course brings together the science of nutrition and the practical aspects of professional work, including understanding client needs, conducting consultations, and presenting nutrition plans.
The website introduces that educational offer and helps prospective students explore what the course involves.
I worked with Peter James Bell on Qualified Nutrition’s migration from Wix to Kajabi.
My role focused on implementing the move between platforms, using the existing website as the starting point for the Kajabi destination.
The objective
The project’s objective was to move the website from Wix into Kajabi.
For an education business, the website needs to explain more than the name of a course. Prospective students want to understand the subject matter, the learning format, the support available, and the next step if they are interested.
Those information needs formed an important consideration during the migration.
I approached the work around three priorities:
Establish what belonged in the website migration.
Rebuild the relevant content and page presentation within Kajabi.
Review the public-facing connections and destination experience.
The intention was to carry the website’s purpose into the new platform through a structured implementation.
My role
I handled the Wix-to-Kajabi migration work directly.
That involved working from the source website, considering how its content and structure translated into Kajabi, and implementing the destination pages.
The source and destination platforms have different editing environments. Content therefore needs to be considered alongside the layouts and components used to present it.
My responsibility was to bring the website into Kajabi while keeping the implementation connected to the business information it needed to communicate.
Understanding the source website
The existing Wix website provided the reference point for the migration.
I began by considering the content, page structure, and public-facing navigation involved in the work.
The source review helped identify how the website introduced Qualified Nutrition, explained the course, and directed visitors toward further information or an enquiry.
I considered those functions alongside the visible content. The purpose of a section mattered as much as the material it contained.
This established a basis for deciding where information belonged within the Kajabi destination.
Translating the website into Kajabi
A migration between website platforms involves adapting the implementation to the destination environment.
I worked with Kajabi’s page structure to rebuild the relevant layouts and present the existing content.
That required attention to the relationship between headings, supporting text, imagery, buttons, and section spacing.
The content needed to remain understandable as it was implemented in a different system. Each section also needed an appropriate place within the page’s reading sequence.
I approached the Kajabi build as a website implementation grounded in the source material.
Presenting the educational offer
Qualified Nutrition’s website introduces a course with both scientific and practical elements.
Visitors need enough information to understand what they will study and how the learning experience works.
I considered the presentation of that information within the destination layouts.
The introductory content needed to establish the offer. Supporting sections could then explain the course in greater detail, with headings helping visitors identify the information relevant to their decision.
The design hierarchy separated the main messages from their supporting explanations.
This gave the educational content a defined structure within the public-facing website.
Organizing information for prospective students
A course website serves people arriving with different levels of interest.
Some visitors are exploring the subject for the first time. Others want details about the curriculum, learning format, or available support.
I considered how the page structure could accommodate those different questions.
The layouts needed to provide an overview while giving more detailed information room to be read. Section headings, content grouping, and spacing helped establish that distinction.
The aim was to make the course presentation navigable, allowing visitors to move from an introduction into the information supporting their next step.
Rebuilding the website connections
The migration also required attention to the connections within the public-facing website.
Navigation, buttons, and text links needed to lead to the relevant destinations in the Kajabi environment.
I reviewed those connections as part of the implementation.
The wording of an action needed to match its destination. A visitor choosing to explore the course should arrive at the information associated with that choice.
This connected the migrated content with the practical behavior of the destination website.
Reviewing the responsive layouts
I considered how the rebuilt pages appeared across screen sizes.
Text, imagery, and multi-column sections can behave differently when the available space changes. A layout that works on desktop may need adjustments to its order or spacing on mobile.
I reviewed the destination presentation with those changes in mind.
The focus was on maintaining readable content, an understandable section sequence, and identifiable calls to action within the responsive layouts.
This formed part of reviewing the website as an implemented experience.
Migration workflow
I approached the work through four stages:
1. Review the source
Identify the website content, structure, and connections involved in the move.
2. Plan the destination
Determine how the relevant material would be arranged and presented within Kajabi.
3. Implement the website
Rebuild the pages and public-facing connections included in the migration scope.
4. Review the destination
Check the content presentation, navigation, relevant links, and responsive behavior of the implemented website.
This sequence provided a structure for moving from the existing Wix site to the Kajabi destination.
Delivered work
The project resulted in Qualified Nutrition’s Wix-to-Kajabi website migration.
My contribution focused on the platform transition and implementation of the website within Kajabi.
The completed work established Kajabi as the destination for the migrated website, with the business’s public-facing course presentation implemented in the new environment.
