Problem Statement

Securely is a premium identity verification platform designed to streamline the onboarding process for businesses and empower users with control over their digital identity. Our goal was to create a user-centric experience that prioritizes both security and convenience.

Physical documents: Carrying physical documents is inconvenient and poses a risk of loss or damage.

Lengthy forms: Filling out lengthy forms for each verification request is time-consuming and frustrating for users.

Centralized data storage: Storing sensitive data on centralized servers creates a single point of failure and exposes users to data breaches.

Weak authentication methods: Password-based systems are susceptible to phishing attacks and password reuse.

Information Architecture

We mapped out a clear IA to enable users to navigate the verification process seamlessly, from selecting documents to managing permissions. Without a clear structure, users might get lost or frustrated, hindering adoption and trust in the verification.

Key features

Securely app was redesigned with the following key features:

Country & document selection

Upon launching the app users are to select their country of residence. This helps tailor the document options displayed in the next step.

2. Secure document capture

The app provides visual guides to assist users in capturing a clear and complete image of their document within the designated frame

3. Liveness check

By verifying a real person is behind the ID, liveness checks make it harder for stolen data to be misused. Even if a hacker gets ahold of someone's ID information, they can't impersonate them if a liveness check is in place.

4. Ensuring You're Real

This quick and non-intrusive step adds an extra layer of security to the verification process by ensuring the user is real not a picture, video, or mask.

5. Verification Success

Users are presented with a clear visual cue indicating the verification is in progress.
