Fragmented booking process → Streamlined smart meter scheduling

E.ON developed a new smart meter installation booking platform that needed to seamlessly integrate with their existing website to improve user experience and operational efficiency.

Challenge

Seamless integration: Ensuring the new booking platform functioned smoothly within the existing website infrastructure.
User experience: Creating an intuitive and straightforward booking process for customers.
Technical complexity: Managing backend and frontend coordination without disrupting current services.

Solution

Prototyping: Created an initial prototype for the booking platform in collaboration with DigitasLBi.
User Interface redesign: Later redesigned the prototype into a concept UI tailored for educational use in a LEDU course.

Results

Demonstrated the potential for smoother booking flows and better user engagement.
Provided a practical case study for professional learning and design education.
Laid the groundwork for future platform enhancements based on prototype insights.
