Marketplace Platform Design for Comic Creator Talent

There was no dedicated platform for this market yet: comic creators (illustrators, writers, storytellers) had no central place to find project work, and teams building comics had no central place to find the right creative talent. The founder wanted to tackle that gap directly and approached me to design the platform from the ground up.

Landing page: introduces the platform's positioning, from indie passion projects to larger commercial series, so both sides (creators and project teams) immediately understand who this is for.

Search and discovery: a browsing experience for available comic projects, built around how a freelance creator actually evaluates opportunities (project type, scope, and fit with their skills) rather than a generic job board layout.

Creator profiles: skills, languages, about me, and personal details, structured the way a client would actually vet a freelancer, so someone hiring could quickly judge fit without a back-and-forth.

Job/project detail views: shows a project from the creator's side: what's involved, who the client is, what's expected, so a creator can decide whether to apply without missing context.

Featured sections: highlighting standout projects and creatives, giving the marketplace a curated, editorial feel rather than a flat directory, which matters for a creative-first audience.

I moved from wireframes to the final designs shown here, giving the founder a full, ready-to-build set of screens across the core flows: landing, discovery, profiles, and project details. The founder handled validation separately from there and made the call on how to move forward with development.
