Product Design for a First-Time Founder Validation Platform

Blimp helps first-time founders take an idea from a prompt and some files to a validated direction. A founder logs in, feeds the AI their idea and any relevant material, and lands on a startup snapshot: market interest, trends pulled from tools like Google Trends and Perplexity, and a validation readiness score covering how clear the problem, customer evidence, and alternatives actually are. From there, founders move through a canvas across discover, define, and deliver, with guided work on problem and pain points, competitors, customer segments and personas, and finally export options (pitch decks via Gamma, PopAI, or GenSpark, or a one-pager) plus access to an experts marketplace matched to their specific idea.

The idea started out built for freelancers, but after working with it, we realized our own experience, having run our own projects and come up through incubator programs ourselves, was a much stronger fit for first-time founders specifically, and we pivoted the product around that.

As CPO, I own product here: the startup snapshot, the validation readiness scoring, the discover/define/deliver canvas, the export flows, and the experts marketplace matching. I also work directly with users to shape what gets built next.

Around 20 founders are actively using the platform, and it's gone through several iterations based on their feedback since the pivot. No hard metrics yet, this is still an active, evolving product, with a current focus on extending the experience to accelerator programs alongside individual founders.
