Project Overview

AchieveIt is a unified productivity solution designed to empower users to take control of their day. By seamlessly integrating one-time tasks with recurring habit tracking, AchieveIt addresses a common pain point in productivity: the struggle to manage diverse responsibilities without becoming overwhelmed.

Approach

I took a mobile-first approach using the Lean UX think-make-test loop to quickly identify pain points and validate assumptions, relying on competitive analysis and usability testing due to time and user access constraints.

Research

Competitive Analysis I started with a competitive analysis and found that most apps either handled habit tracking or task management, while those combining both felt cluttered. I then identified the essential features needed to solve the core problem, defining a lean MVP focused on high-impact functionality that delivers value without unnecessary complexity.
JTBD Since user demographics weren’t crucial for this project, I didn’t spend too much time perfecting user personas, instead I used the Jobs-To-Be-Done framework to identify the core jobs my app needed to fulfill.
Main Job: To stay productive and organized with minimal mental effort, so I can focus on what matters most. How I Validated This:
 I conducted user interviews to explore: - Whether users experienced these need - What tools they currently used - Their frustrations and unmet needs with existing solutions
