Kinara Capital — Logo Exploration for a FinTech Serving India’s MSMEs
Kinara Capital is a respected NBFC focused on empowering India’s micro and small enterprises with fast, collateral-free business loans.
They needed a refreshed identity system that could better communicate their evolving mission: from just lending capital → to enabling financial empowerment at scale.
I was brought in to lead logo explorations and creative direction, while also supporting branded video assets through a collaborative partner team.
Logo Concept Strategy
Even though the final rebranding wasn’t executed, my approach was built around redefining Kinara’s identity from transactional to transformational.
Exploration Themes Included:
Upward momentum (growth paths, scaling lines, kinetic arrows)
Community & support (woven shapes, circular trust loops)
India-first symbolism (sacred geometry, abstracted mandalas, locally inspired grids)
Financial clarity (open forms, modular flexibility, scalable glyphs)
Each concept was designed to work across:
Rural + urban audience sensibilities
App icons, print material, and storefront signage
B2B + institutional investor decks
Even in concept phase, the goal was always clarity, confidence, and cultural relevance.
Video + Visual Collaboration
Although the logo project wasn’t executed, I collaborated with a partner video production team on Kinara’s YouTube-facing brand storytelling assets—the same team later involved in the DayBest documentary shoots.
We helped structure visual messaging and shot direction that conveyed:
Real user stories
MSME impact narratives
Fast, trustworthy loan disbursal process
Key Takeaway
Not every project ends in execution. But the thinking, frameworks, and creative direction still created clarity for the client—and informed future positioning.
Kinara didn’t just walk away with mockups.
They left with a roadmap of how to modernize, simplify, and own their visual trust narrative.
