Developer Productivity Platform

Cognix is a developer productivity platform that centralizes five workflows in one place: chat with AI models, a prompt library, API key management, document Q&A, and side-by-side model comparison.

The core design challenge was density without overwhelm. Each section serves a technically minded user who switches contexts constantly, so the sidebar navigation needed to feel stable and predictable regardless of where you were in the product. Every section was scoped to a single job to be done, which kept the interface focused even when the underlying functionality was complex.

The most interesting problem was the Compare view, where the same prompt runs across GPT-4o, Claude, and Gemini simultaneously. Showing three responses with token count, speed, and cost data without making the screen feel like a spreadsheet required a lot of iteration on hierarchy and spacing.
