A cold emailing platform designed to help early career professionals launch cold email campaigns using AI.

A few months ago, I graduated from a tech program. My friends, still in their third year, were all dealing with the same thing — sending endless job applications through LinkedIn Easy Apply and hearing nothing back. Not even a rejection. Just silence.

We were told cold emailing could work. Reach out to recruiters, personalize your pitch and you might just land an opportunity. But no one told us how to actually do it.

Help users launch personalized cold email campaigns, manage their inbox, apply for jobs, build resumes and prep for interviews using AI.

Most cold email tools focus on sales and marketing, not students. Resume builders were designed for everyone, which meant they weren’t really designed for anyone in particular. And job boards lacked personalized support.

So I studied tools like Superhuman (for inbox design), resume.io and Zety (for CV builders), LinkedIn (for job apply flows), and a few others for AI interview prep. But none of them integrated all these tools into one cohesive platform.

Here’s how a user launches a campaign:

Upload an Excel file with recruiter details or enter them manually

Choose between manual or AI mode to write the email. In AI mode, users describe what they want to say and the AI tailors it

Schedule or launch the campaign

Track performance: delivered, opened, clicked, replied, bounced

I designed this to feel like a guided experience, not a dashboard full of buttons.

Most resume builders online cater to everyone — which makes sense for standalone products. But MailPilot was designed specifically for tech students.

Creating a universal resume tool would dilute the experience. Users from non-tech backgrounds wouldn’t benefit from the platform’s other tools like cold email campaigns or tech-specific AI interview prep.

So I made the choice to keep the resume builder niched. It’s structured around what tech resumes need — clarity, simplicity, keyword optimization, and relevance.

That tradeoff made the product feel more focused, more useful, and more aligned with our actual audience.
