The Legacy List is a podcast that amplifies the voices of women who have transformed their careers and redefined success after becoming mothers. With a primary audience of mothers and driven female entrepreneurs, the podcast needed a visual identity that felt empowering, modern, and relatable across platforms like Spotify, YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and Patreon.
My Role
I was hired to develop the full visual identity for the podcast, which included:
Logo design (for use on digital platforms and merchandise like sweatshirts and stickers)
Social media promotional graphics
Visual identity guidelines
Stationery design
The Challenge
The podcast’s producers wanted a brand identity that would resonate with women at all stages of motherhood—expecting moms, new moms, and seasoned moms—as well as with ambitious female entrepreneurs. The brand had to feel warm and uplifting, but also bold and forward-thinking to match the energy of its inspiring content.
The Creative Process
I began by researching the target audience and exploring visual cues that blend maternal strength with personal transformation. The design direction emphasized clean, contemporary typography paired with warm, earthy tones to reflect a sense of growth, connection, and legacy.
Logo Design: Created a versatile mark suitable for audio platforms and promotional materials. It balances professionalism with approachability.
Social Graphics: Developed templates and promotional assets that could be used consistently for new episodes, guest quotes, and community engagement.
Visual Guidelines: Documented color palettes, fonts, logo use, and social media layout guidance to keep the brand consistent across platforms.
Stationery: Designed digital and printable materials to support the brand in potential partnerships or events.
Results & Impact
The final identity gave The Legacy List a cohesive, confident look across all touchpoints. The branding helped the podcast stand out in a saturated market, connect deeply with its core audience, and create a consistent visual experience from Instagram Reels to Spotify thumbnails. It also offered a solid foundation for future merchandise and promotional efforts.
“The goal was to inspire and connect—and this brand identity captured exactly that.”
