Kajabi Training Portal, Community and Website Design for AIJRP by Vlad KutepovKajabi Training Portal, Community and Website Design for AIJRP by Vlad Kutepov
Robert Allen spent twenty years in junk removal and saw what his industry was missing: a community where independent operators could share best practices and elevate standards together. He found me through the Kajabi official partnership campaign with a partly formed brief and a strong vision.
We started with an introductory call, followed by a detailed project questionnaire and brand questionnaire to surface the right problems before designing any solutions. I delivered a full project proposal and a separate brand identity proposal, both with scope breakdowns, timelines, and pricing. A custom project hub gave Robert and Norine asynchronous weekly progress updates and time logs throughout the engagement.
Focus areas:
Build a membership platform across multiple systems that functions as a single experience for operators
Develop a brand identity from scratch for a new professional organisation
Create a publicly accessible, search engine optimised member directory (not possible with native platform tools)
Design interactive tools for business evaluation and quote estimation, gated behind member login
Deliver a curated document library of professional resources based on market research
Configure a professional community with onboarding logic, guidelines, and tiered access
Establish automation across all platforms so membership changes require zero manual intervention
Process and thinking:
The project started with research. I conducted desktop user research and market analysis to understand how operators in this industry find resources and evaluate membership organisations. That research informed the wireframes and information architecture.
During wireframing, a key insight emerged: Kajabi's native community tools could not satisfy the professional networking needs. Rather than making that call silently, I recorded three video walkthroughs comparing the options against Robert's specific requirements. Robert and Norine reviewed the videos, agreed the pivot to a two-platform architecture made sense, and the project realigned before any build work began.
The brand identity moved through multiple iterations on Canva whiteboard for seamless feedback sharing, with logo concepts refined through rounds of feedback and mockups showing how the brand would appear in real-world scenarios: business cards, email signatures, the website, and platform communications.
My role:
Conducted desktop user research and market analysis
Delivered high-fidelity homepage wireframe and low-fidelity wireframes for remaining pages
Designed the complete brand identity: logo, brand guide (PDF and live platform page), business cards, HTML email signature
Built the Kajabi training portal with live weekly sessions, replay access, and gated interactive tools
Configured the Circle.so community with spaces, access groups, onboarding logic, and community guidelines
Designed and coded custom HTML transactional email templates within Circle
Established automations across Kajabi, Circle, and Zapier for seamless membership management
Designed and developed a custom public member directory using Cloudflare Workers and the Circle API, featuring:
Dynamic SEO for individual operator profiles
Automated QR code generation per profile
Filterable search by location, tier, and service type
Badge embed pages with copy-code functionality per membership tier
Built the Business Growth Assessment Tool and Quote Estimation Tool as interactive gated applications
Curated and formatted a document library of professional guides, procedures, checklists, and reference materials in HTML
Designed the Founding Member event slide deck and expression of interest landing page with QR code
A professional organisation built from zero with brand identity, membership infrastructure, training portal, community, and public directory all delivered as one cohesive system
43 registered members and growing, with operators participating in live weekly training events
Automated membership management across three platforms with zero manual work required from the client
Publicly searchable directory with dynamic SEO, giving the organisation visibility beyond its own membership
Pricing model evolved from four tiers to a streamlined single Pro plan with 30-day free trial (February 2026)
Ongoing operational partnership that has continued from project delivery into steady maintenance
Robert's comment on the custom project hub: "I am very impressed with the project hub and it will be a great way to track updates." On the custom directory: "Thank you for the initiative to develop a better directory than what is natively available. We like your approach much better."
