Holistic Health Clinic / 2024 / Website & Brand Identity Design

It was a pleasure working with Botaniqal Clinics Australia and their highly competent technical team to design and develop a fully integrated online clinic. While I led the design, wireframing, UX and front-end development, the client’s technical expertise was vital in custom coding the back-end infrastructure to connect with the government medical system for e-scripting and secure patient records.

This project required adaptability due to multiple legal hurdles, which we identified and addressed together. To accelerate the process, I worked closely with the client on shaping legal content, ensuring a smooth design and development workflow. Additionally, the project involved reworking the brand identity mid-development due to evolving regulatory requirements. I initially designed the website around the first identity, then reshaped both the branding and the website to align with the final compliance standards while maintaining design consistency.

I designed and implemented a kiosk-mode booking flow, allowing pharmacy-based patient intake with a secure, time-sensitive experience. This included timed pages, visual indicators, and automated resets for security, ensuring an efficient onboarding process. Additionally, I designed a custom pre-screening flow that enables users to assess their eligibility before booking, reducing false appointments and optimizing the doctor-patient interaction.

Due to payment provider constraints, I adapted the booking and payment flow to align with system limitations while maintaining a frictionless user experience. I also led the configuration of email marketing, automated workflows and content integration, ensuring that all digital touchpoints worked cohesively to support the clinic’s operations and patient journey.

This project was a true collaboration, combining strategic UX, design, and front-end expertise with the client’s technical capabilities in back-end development. Together, we created a seamless, compliant and highly efficient online clinic that balances accessibility, security and operational effectiveness. Leading the design and user experience while integrating with a technically complex infrastructure was a rewarding challenge and I’m proud to have helped shape this holistic, patient-first digital experience.
