Project Overview

App Introduction Screens
App Introduction Screens
The Zoro Wallet App was designed for a client looking to create a crypto wallet that feels fresh, modern, and a bit abstract—reflecting the unique visual identity of the crypto world. However, I knew balancing this abstract style with usability would be crucial, as I wanted the app to feel easy and intuitive for users of all experience levels.

Design Objectives

The main goal was to blend an abstract aesthetic with a user-friendly experience, making sure the design felt unique yet approachable. The client also requested both light and dark modes, so I worked to create a seamless, visually consistent experience across both.

Design Process

Research & User Insights: I started by looking into common frustrations users face with crypto wallets, like cluttered interfaces and difficult-to-find functions. This informed my approach to keep the design minimalist but informative, focusing on only the most essential features.
Balancing Abstract with Usability: The client wanted a design that felt like it belonged in the crypto space—something a bit abstract, which can often mean unusual shapes and layouts. I found that going too abstract would make navigation harder, so I created a blend: an interface that looks modern and slightly experimental but has a logical, straightforward flow.
Wireframes & User Flows: I built out the main user flow with clarity in mind. Each screen was designed to make actions like viewing balances, sending, or receiving crypto feel natural and intuitive. With a modular structure, I ensured users could easily move between tasks without friction.

UI Design Choices

Color Modes: Light and dark modes were a core part of the project. For each, I chose color schemes that not only looked appealing but also enhanced readability. Subtle gradients and contrast adjustments make both modes feel distinct yet cohesive.
Icons and Typography: Clear, simple icons guide the user while preserving that abstract vibe. The typography is clean and modern, chosen to feel bold yet readable, and it fits well within the app's aesthetic.
Security Cues: To make sure users felt secure, I integrated subtle visual elements, like small lock icons, without crowding the screen. These small details help build trust while keeping the design clean and uncluttered.

Final Outcome

I was really pleased with how the final design achieved a balance between abstract aesthetics and user-friendliness. During feedback sessions, users noted that they felt both excited by the fresh look and confident navigating the app. The clean interface and well-thought-out flows make it easy to use, while the modern crypto-inspired design delivers on the client’s vision.
