OneSlice Pizza / A Slice of NYC History
Brand Identity & Packaging
DESCRIPTION
OneSlice is a pizza brand identity inspired by old-school New York pizzerias from the 70s and 80s.
I wanted it to feel real and a little rough around the edges — black-and-white NYC street photos, red checkered patterns, and the line "A Slice of New York's History." The project includes the logo, packaging (boxes, napkins, coasters), menu, signage, and merch.
VISUAL IDENTITY
The identity is anchored by black-and-white street photography of New York, paired with a bold red logotype that cuts through the muted tones. The contrast between documentary-style imagery and graphic, high-contrast typography gives the brand a sense of history without feeling dated.
Red-and-white checkers run through the packaging and print materials, tying back to the diner aesthetic of classic pizzerias. A vintage-inspired illustrated figure, mid-bite, camera in hand, adds a human, almost cinematic layer to the brand, turning packaging into a small piece of storytelling.
TYPOGRAPHY
Type is bold, condensed, and slightly rough, built to feel stamped rather than designed. Layouts stay simple so the photography and illustration carry the weight. The same type system runs across boxes, menus, posters, and merch, keeping everything consistent.
