My Contra Ambassador Journey

Hi all! I'm Alma, and I'm part of the Contra Ambassador Program this April! I will share my experiences as an ambassador! 🚀



I started working remotely in early 2019 as a designer 🎨 and social media specialist 📱. It seems like ✨flexible✨ has become my middle name. In fact, often, people around me call me the most chill person among the others. Remote and flexibility might be two things that I hold in my life.

I've known know the independent world since I was in my final year of college. I saw people who worked as independent, and it immediately occurred to me, "Looks like this is my way?!" At that time, I started following independents on social media to find out how their day-to-day life was. Once upon a time, there was an independent who discussed a platform that would be coming soon with a different concept and 0% commission fee! And that's how I got to know 🚀Contra🚀.

I started following their Instagram and was always amazed by the helpful content they created! After that, I excitedly made my Contra profile. The first thing I felt after seeing the landing page was 💥 BOOM💥 This 💥 is 💥 so 💥 me! It looks beautiful but simple. Trying out Contra's features and visuals while I was making my profile was really fun. Something that makes me love Contra even more is the community. 👫

Not long after that, I saw the video Contra uploaded on Instagram about the Contra Ambassador Program! Believe it or not, I didn't immediately apply for the program. In fact, I delayed nearly 2 weeks. I feel scared and not confident. However, as the days passed, I began to think. I would be even more disappointed in myself if I didn't try it. There is no success or failure; there is success and a lesson.



In the end, ✨ being a Contra Ambassador became one of the best choices of my life ✨ . From our first meeting, I could already tell how exciting the people at Contra are. In my opinion, the tasks given as ambassadors are not like assignments. They are so fun! Everything is neatly arranged on the Notion page. Testing Contra's new features and providing feedback is also a breeze with Loom! Sharing about Contra to everyone on social media is such an enjoyment. The point is, I have absolutely no regrets about my choice to become a Contra Ambassador!
