Elevating Financial Infrastructure Conversations
Marc Andrew, an expert in infrastructure deployment, founded NextFi to connect leaders in next-gen financial infrastructure and facilitate high-level discussions and collaborations. He approached me to develop a website (www.nextfi.com) that would effectively showcase NextFi’s role in fostering collaboration among regulators, institutions, and entrepreneurs.
The brief
Client Vision: Create a sleek, professional website for NextFi that captures the firm’s cutting-edge focus on advancing financial infrastructure.
Key Objectives:
Highlight NextFi’s role in facilitating high-level collaborations.
Showcase upcoming events clearly and engagingly.
Initial Design Review:
Started by reviewing and refining an existing design concept.
Identified issues with complexity and misalignment with Marc’s vision.
Refinement Goals:
Elevate and streamline the design to better meet project objectives.
Ensure clarity and impact in presenting NextFi’s mission and offerings.
The initial design looked like this
The Style Guide
I set out to look for fonts and colors that would better represent the aesthetic Marc was going after
Final Mocks
After a couple of rounds of feedback of complicating and simplifying the design we landed on something we both liked .
I designed a total of 3 pages, the hero, the About us, and the Event page.
Webflow build
After the design was approved I set out to develop the site in Webflow focusing on building a CMS system that was easy to use and updated by Marc. Considering he will be hosting both In-person and Digital events, each has a set of information needs and requirements, I had to be very methodic and strategic when setting up the rules for this CMS.
