Reng Hand to Hand: Interactive 3D Web Experience with Live Sound
Reng is a music platform where songs reach you through the people you follow, not through charts. In a sentence that sounds like every other app, so the brief was a feeling, not a landing page: let people understand the difference between a chart and a crowd before they read a word.
The whole story is told with one material, gold ink on paper. Ten drops of liquid gold gather into one. It breaks into identical silver beads ranked like a chart, then warms into a crowd of listeners joined by the people they follow. Someone shares a song and it spreads person to person, leaving ink where it goes.
The music is the plot. The soundtrack, Tirishko by Heydoo, was rebuilt from 17 studio stems into six seamless layers. At first you hear a muffled pad and oud; each time the song reaches more people a layer opens, and the voice arrives only when the song reaches you.
Everything is drawn live in the browser: a real-time fluid simulation for the ink, ray-marched liquid metal lit by a studio light map, and an interactive network of 48 people (32 on phones). It runs at 60 fps on a laptop, lowers its own detail on slower phones, and was designed separately for a portrait screen.
Scope: concept, art direction, interaction design, real-time 3D (WebGL, three.js, GLSL), sound design and front-end development. Your product has an idea that is hard to say in a sentence? This is the kind of piece we make: a launch page, an interactive story or a product explainer people play with and remember.
