Sapra Media: Identity, Typeface & Website Portolan: Brand, Website & Film System. Portolan is my studio: it turns a live product website into a launch film in a day. I designed and built the whole thing end to end: the brand, the website and the film system behind it. A portolan was the first chart to show sailors the true line between two ports. The mark is drawn from it: three families of rhumb lines meeting at one point, the line from a product to the people it is for. The palette comes from the old charts too: ink for the line, red for the route, green for the sea, on a calm paper-white page. What I did: brand strategy, naming story and visual identity; website design and build; three film styles (Narrated, UI Motion, Cinematic) and the production pipeline that makes them from a live site; motion design and the brand film. Sample films are made from public websites to show each style and were not commissioned. Live: https://portolan.studio Heydoo Hedayati: Artist Website & Launch Film. I designed and built heydoohedayati.com, the personal site of a composer, singer and photographer from Bushehr. The site follows one day on the Persian Gulf coast, from dawn to night: every section has its own hour and light, with hand-drawn line art, a cassette that travels down the page, smooth scrolling, stacked sticky sections and an interactive WebGL globe of past concerts. Fully responsive and bilingual (English / Persian, RTL). The launch film was made in-house: frame-accurate captures of the live site on floating glass screens in a 3D scene, scored with an original piano piece. Brand identity and website for LearnQuest Academy, a French-language school that prepares learners for the TEF Canada exam.
The mark combines a Q with a compass needle: learning as a journey with a clear direction. I built a fresh green palette, a clean bilingual (English/French) type system and a full logo package: horizontal, stacked, symbol-only and wordmark versions in colour, white and black, plus social media profile and cover kits, website/app icons and an email signature.
I also designed and built the mobile-first bilingual website, with level-test booking and upcoming-class listings.
