UX/UI for Blockchain-Powered Mobile App for Music Sharing

The Flick It app is a blockchain-powered mobile application designed to empower DJs, music creators, and performers by providing a decentralized platform for secure music sharing and transparent royalty management. The app focuses on enhancing the music-sharing experience while enabling creators to maintain control over their work, ensuring they receive fair compensation and track royalties in real time.

This project aims to address key challenges faced by music creators, such as unreliable payments, lack of control over music ownership, and limited engagement with their audience. By utilizing blockchain technology and a user-friendly interface, Flick It simplifies music sharing and establishes a secure, transparent royalty system. The app offers an intuitive music-sharing feature, enhanced crowd interaction tools, and a seamless experience for artists and audiences alike. The goal is to create a product that benefits both creators and consumers while supporting fair artist compensation.

As the Senior Product Designer, I led the design process from conceptualization to implementation. My responsibilities included conducting user and market research, developing user flows and wireframes, and creating high-fidelity prototypes. I collaborated closely with developers and stakeholders to ensure that the design aligned with user needs and business objectives. I also focused on creating an intuitive and engaging user interface that simplified complex functionalities like blockchain-based transactions and NFT creation for music tracks.

User Research: Conducted interviews with DJs, artists, and music consumers to identify key pain points and opportunities.

Market Research: Analyzed competitors and industry trends to inform design decisions, especially regarding blockchain integration and royalty management.

Design Tools: Used Figma for UI/UX design and Protopie for interactive prototyping, allowing for iterative testing and feedback.

Wireframes & Prototyping: Created detailed wireframes and interactive prototypes to visualize user flows and functionality.

Collaboration: Worked closely with the development team to ensure design fidelity during the implementation phase.

NFT ownership and marketplace (The wallet screen-the start point of everything such as sharing and Flick It experience)

Functional design: 

Each mined music track becomes an NFT, providing a decentralized proof of ownership on the blockchain.

The functional design extends to the NFT marketplace within Flick It, where users can buy, sell, or trade these unique digital assets securely.

Minimalism: 

The NFT wallet interface mirrors the minimalist design philosophy, emphasizing the essential elements of each NFT.

Users explore a visually uncluttered space where the uniqueness of each music track shines, fostering an appreciation for the artistry and rarity of the digital asset.

Functional design: 

Artists wield a seamless tool for sharing their creations directly from the app to the audience’s wallets. The sharing feature is meticulously optimized for engagement, facilitating a dynamic and participatory music-sharing experience.

Minimalism:

The sharing interface maintains a minimalist design, focusing on essential sharing functionalities. This ensures that the act of sharing is straightforward and enhances the vitality of shared music without unnecessary distractions.
