Architect of Chaos: Branding Cobalt Analytics for the Envato Challenge AI has completely changed the creative landscape, but it hasn’t changed what makes a digital product functional. For the Envato Challenge, I set out to design the brand identity and UI concept for a B2B SaaS platform, Cobalt Analytics. The goal was to show the crucial difference between machine generation and human curation. The Insight: The Azulejo Metaphor  Data analytics is often visually represented by clichéd glowing nodes and neon webs. I wanted a metaphor with history. I turned to Azulejo — traditional Portuguese ceramic tiles. Historically, the art of Azulejo was about taking thousands of fragmented, independent tiles and assembling them into one grand, coherent narrative. This is exactly what a predictive data platform does: it turns chaotic metrics into a clear system. The Process: AI as the Miner, Human as the Filter  I started by feeding AI historical references of Azulejo tiles. The result? Absolutely stunning, yet completely unusable visual noise. AI generated beautiful chaos, but as a designer, I know that algorithms don't understand scalability, negative space, or modular grids. The Extraction: I rejected 95% of the AI generations, extracting just one perfect geometric silhouette hidden in the noise. The Clean-Up: I moved to Envato Elements to source mathematically perfect vector shapes and rebuilt the AI's concept into a clean, scalable brand mark. The System (Figma): I established a strict modular Bento-grid, paired the complex geometry with a brutalist sans-serif typography, and built out the core UI dashboard widgets in Figma. The Execution (Zero Photoshop): To bring the brand into the real world, I utilized Envato’s native mockup generator. I applied my designs directly to premium physical and digital mockups right inside Envato's browser tool—no Photoshop required. A completely streamlined, modern workflow. The Result: Cobalt Analytics.  A brand identity that is mathematically precise, highly scalable, and ready for development. AI generated the noise, but human judgment built the system. And for the brave souls, here is the link to the full Figma file. Fair warning: it’s a typical creative mess inside, you know how it is 😅 https://www.figma.com/design/5Du5Sjr7jCCZYNgH5Y9QtB/Envato-Challenge?node-id=17-2181&t=vap8tOu6fACNieNW-1

The Good Self | Premium Brand Commercial Project Overview The Good Self, a Hyderabad-based wellness brand, approached me to edit a premium 30-second advertisement from more than 200 raw clips. The footage consisted of multiple takes and camera angles for almost every dialogue, making the primary challenge less about editing and more about identifying the strongest visual narrative. Rather than starting on the timeline immediately, I first reviewed every clip individually and grouped them based on performance quality, camera composition, continuity, eye-line consistency, and emotional delivery. This reduced the footage into a curated selection that became the foundation of the edit. My Editing Process 1. Footage Audit & Shot Selection Reviewed 200+ raw clips. Compared multiple performances for every sentence. Selected shots based on delivery, framing, continuity, and brand appeal. Eliminated redundant or visually repetitive takes before editing began. 2. Story Structure Instead of arranging clips chronologically, I rebuilt the sequence around visual momentum. Every cut was chosen to naturally guide the viewer's attention while maintaining clarity of the product message. 3. Pacing & Rhythm The objective wasn't to create a flashy social media edit. The brand required a premium, modern aesthetic, so pacing was carefully controlled with purposeful cut points, breathing room, and visual contrast to maintain engagement without overwhelming the viewer. 4. Motion Graphics Motion graphics were intentionally minimal. Text animation, transitions, and graphic elements were introduced only where they strengthened communication or enhanced product emphasis, allowing the visuals to remain clean and sophisticated. 5. Sound Design Every sound effect was layered to reinforce movement and visual actions rather than simply filling silence. Whooshes, impacts, risers, and ambient textures were synchronized with transitions and key product moments to create a polished cinematic experience. 6. Brand Consistency Typography, timing, spacing, logo animation, and overall visual language were kept consistent throughout the commercial to ensure it aligned with The Good Self's premium brand identity. Tools Used Adobe Premiere Pro Adobe After Effects Photoshop (asset preparation) Professional SFX Library Collaboration The project was completed through multiple feedback iterations within one week. Throughout the process, I maintained close communication with the client, refining timing, shot choices, and visual flow until the final edit matched their creative vision. Outcome The final commercial transformed over 200 raw clips into a cohesive 30-second advertisement with strong pacing, premium aesthetics, and clear storytelling. The client was highly satisfied with the result and left positive feedback after project completion. 🎬 UGC Ad Edit — Floki App | Waitress to Content Creator Story Client: Floki (creator-business matchmaking app) Role: Video Editor & Colorist Brief: Turn raw iPhone and cinematic footage into a scroll-stopping UGC ad for Instagram Reels & TikTok — telling the story of Hila, a waitress who moonlights as a content creator. What I delivered: 🎨 Color Correction — Graded from flat S-Log footage into a warm, cinematic look that still feels authentic and native to social media (not overly polished or "ad-like") ✂️ Editing & Pacing — Selected the strongest shots from hours of raw footage and cut them into a fast, dynamic montage that establishes character and story in seconds, with intentional pacing left open for a future voice-over 🔊 Sound Design — Layered modern, youthful background music that supports the story without competing with dialogue, with volume automation to duck music under the final talking segment 🎞️ Transitions — Designed a clean, natural transition from "work life" to "content creation life" using movement and matching cuts — no flashy templates, no generic effects 🗣️ Dialogue Sync & Cleanup — Isolated and cleaned the only synced-audio clip (her direct-to-camera CTA in Hebrew), reducing background noise while preserving natural vocal tone The result: A UGC-style ad that feels real, moves fast, and clearly tells a story — waitress by day, creator by night, now bookable through Floki. Built for maximum watch-through on Reels & TikTok, without ever feeling like a "produced ad." This project is a good example of how I approach UGC and social ad editing — prioritizing authenticity, clean storytelling, and platform-native pacing over heavy effects or generic templates. Available for UGC ad edits, brand content, creator campaigns, and social-first video editing. — #VideoEditor #UGCEditing #ContentCreator #VideoEditing #ColorGrading #SocialMediaAds #ReelsEditing #TikTokAds #FreelanceEditor #ContraFreelancer #UGCAds #BrandContent #VideoEditingServices #CreativeFreelancer #AdEditing #SoundDesign #ColorCorrection #ShortFormVideo #ContentEditing #FreelanceVideoEditor

I asked myself a simple question: "When is human, human enough?" And believe it or not, this challenge completely changed the way I think about creative thinking and AI assisted workflows. Over the past few days, I have been sharing my journey here on @Contra and on X, asking people to contribute their thoughts on ideation, visual direction, and refinement. From classic pen and paper brainstorming to a fully realized product, every step happened within the limited timeline of the @Envato Challenge. 'Pause (https://on.contra.com/cLGnfB)' is the brand I created for this challenge, it is the result of human creativity steering AI capabilities and the outcome goes far beyond simply generating visuals, it demonstrates what happens when intentional thinking guides powerful tools. Using Envato's AI Suite, I built an entire brand from the logo and visual assets to the product campaign and even a motion design video. The experience exceeded every expectation I had. The tagline, "PAUSE THE NOISE," was written by me. It does not just define the brand. It also reflects what I believe is the real message behind this challenge: pausing the noise around the idea that AI is here to replace creatives. The human contribution was never just writing prompts. It was constantly questioning assumptions, pivoting from one idea to another, exploring different visual languages, selecting the strongest assets, directing the product campaign, shaping the motion design, and refining every output until it aligned with the vision. AI generated the assets. Human creativity gave them purpose. I am so proud of the final result that I am now turning Pause into a detailed Contra case study. My two cents: AI is a tool. Like a sword, it is only as powerful as the person wielding it. In the hands of someone without vision, it loses its edge. In the hands of a creative thinker, it becomes a force multiplier. The future does not belong to AI alone. It belongs to people who know how to think, direct, and create with it.
