Stop the R&D trial-and-error cycle. 🧪 Are you losing margin to inefficient formulas or launch delays? I bridge the gap between "great idea" and "market-ready." I’ve delivered results like a 9% LDL reduction in 30 days while maintaining 70%+ gross margins. I specialize in Food, Beverage, and Supplements through three pillars: Technical Engineering: Solving protein stability, starch gelatinization, and shelf life before production. Strategic Sourcing: Cost engineering and vetting global suppliers to protect your margins and navigate MOQs. Global Regulatory: Navigating FDA, Health Canada, EU, UK and Aussie standards to ensure clean-label compliance and seamless market entry. Let’s build a product that delivers on its functional promises.

Food Innovation BTS. Hello Contra world! I am new here and may or may not be one of Contra's first Food Scientists 👩🔬 I was fortunate to begin with project leading nutraceutical food product development for Step One Foods and the Mayo Clinic ten years ago and now am just wrapping up formulation development with Zest Island who are looking to start production in the new year. Very happy to be part of this community and looking forward to all the successes on the platform!!🙌

Retail Merchandising Case Study A cosmetics retailer was struggling with overcrowded shelves, inconsistent visibility, and poor product flow. I reorganized the layout using: • Visibility-based product placement • Simplified shelf hierarchy • Traffic flow optimization • Strategic SKU prioritization The goal wasn’t adding more inventory. It was making products easier to discover and shop. Result: A cleaner customer experience, stronger product visibility, and a more conversion-focused layout strategy.

Recently completed a mini retail design project focused on redesigning a shelf talker to make it brighter, cleaner, and more attention-grabbing for customers shopping in-store. Shelf talkers may seem small, but they still play a major role in modern retail. In crowded aisles, customers make fast decisions, and strong visual cues can help products stand out, communicate value quickly, and improve engagement at the point of purchase. Projects like this are a reminder that even small merchandising improvements can influence customer behavior and strengthen the overall shopping experience. I work on: • Retail merchandising strategy • Shelf visibility & product presentation • Store layout optimization • Customer flow analysis • Retail execution support Always open to connecting with brands, retailers, and businesses looking to improve in-store experience and merchandising execution.

The biggest mistake I see in cosmetics retail isn’t the product selection. It’s trying to fit 900+ SKUs into a store without thinking about customer behavior first. Recently, I worked on a cosmetics store merchandising project where the challenge wasn’t “adding more product.” The challenge was making the store easier to shop, easier to navigate, and easier for products to actually get noticed. Instead of treating every shelf equally, I focused on: Customer traffic flow High-visibility hero zones Category zoning Product adjacency Display hierarchy Shelf visibility from key walking paths Balancing SKU density without overwhelming shoppers One of the biggest realities in retail is this: If customers can’t quickly understand what they’re looking at, more inventory can actually reduce conversion. A crowded shelf doesn’t always create more sales. Sometimes it creates hesitation. Strong merchandising is about guiding attention intentionally — not just filling fixtures. That’s why store layout, planograms, and visibility strategy matter far more than many retailers realize. Retail isn’t only about what products you carry. It’s about what customers notice first. If your store layout or merchandising strategy isn’t converting traffic effectively, feel free to reach out. Grocery Store Website Concept — Retail-Driven Optimization This concept applies retail merchandising strategy to grocery e-commerce. The homepage prioritizes high-velocity categories, weekly deals, and repeat-purchase products using clear hierarchy and structured layout. The goal is to improve product visibility, navigation clarity, and conversion potential across desktop and mobile. This approach treats the website like a retail floor—where placement, visibility, and structure directly influence customer behavior and sales. Available for retail website optimization and design projects.

Carrier Optimization Engine, $293K Savings Model Built a Tableau optimization engine modeling carrier rate scenarios across 28 shipping lanes to identify validated cost-saving opportunities. The analysis found $293,482 in annual savings, an 18.6% cost reduction, and $58.70 potential savings per shipment by comparing current rates, proposed rates, and savings by carrier. The dashboard also surfaced the highest-value optimization lanes, with the South region representing $71K in opportunity and lane-level savings ranging from 18–20% across multiple carriers.

Shipping Cost Drivers , Root Cause Analysis Built a root-cause Tableau dashboard analyzing shipping cost drivers across carriers, destination zones, fees, and package weight. The analysis found that parcel carriers bill 2.5x actual package weight, creating a $922K annual excess billing impact, while Zone 6 costs 65% more per lb than Zone 2. The dashboard also includes carrier cost breakdowns and a fuel surcharge sensitivity model to estimate cost exposure from fuel increases up to 50%.

Shipping Cost Intelligence System A consulting-style analytics case study modeling how a growth-stage retailer with $1.6M in annual shipping spend could consolidate fragmented carrier data into a single decision-support system, unlocking $293,482 in identified savings opportunities (18.6% cost reduction).

Most small businesses are making decisions off numbers they don't fully trust. Mismatched reports. Spreadsheets that take hours to update. Metrics that mean different things to different people. I spent 4 years fixing exactly this at HCA Healthcare across 186 facilities and at Dell across 100+ enterprise accounts. Reduced manual reporting by 60%. Standardized 30+ KPIs so every team was finally working from the same numbers. Now I bring that same rigor to smaller teams that need real analytics without hiring a full-time analyst. If your data is a mess or your reporting takes longer than it should, that's exactly what I do. Open to dashboard builds, SQL audits, and monthly reporting setups. DMs open. https://public.tableau.com/app/profile/jovanne.saldierna/viz/ShippingCostIntelligenceSystem/ShippingCostIntelligence
