I just built a fully automated AI Social Media Posting system using n8n and Google Gemini — here's exactly how it works and every problem I solved building it 🧵 Most businesses post content manually every day. Someone has to write the caption, format it for each platform, schedule it, then repeat tomorrow. I automated the entire process in one workflow. Here's what happens automatically every morning at 9AM: 📅 Node 1 — Daily Schedule Trigger The workflow wakes up automatically every day at 9AM. No manual starting. No forgetting. It just runs. 📊 Node 2 — Get Pending Posts (Google Sheets) The workflow reads from a Google Sheet content calendar and pulls only rows where status is "Pending". This means you just add content ideas to a spreadsheet and the system handles everything else. 🤖 Node 3 — AI Caption Generator (Google Gemini) This is where the magic happens. Gemini AI reads your raw content idea and automatically writes a platform-optimized post for Twitter, LinkedIn or TikTok — with the right tone, length and hashtags for each platform. What used to take 30 minutes now takes 3 seconds. 🔀 Node 4 — Route by Platform (Switch Node) The workflow intelligently routes each post to the right platform based on what's in your content calendar. Twitter gets a short punchy caption. LinkedIn gets a professional detailed post. TikTok gets an engaging hook. 🐦 Node 5 — Post to X (Twitter) The AI generated caption is posted directly to Twitter automatically. 💼 Node 6 — Post to LinkedIn The professional version of the post goes live on LinkedIn without any manual action. 📱 Node 7 — Post to TikTok The TikTok version is formatted and queued via HTTP Request automatically. ✅ Node 8 — Update Post Status (Google Sheets) After posting the row in Google Sheets is automatically updated from "Pending" to "Posted" — so you never accidentally post the same content twice. 📱 Node 9 — Notify Timothy (Telegram) A Telegram message is sent confirming all posts went live with a summary of what was posted and where. Problems I solved building this: ✅ Content ideas added to Google Sheets once ✅ AI writes platform-optimized captions automatically ✅ Posts go live on 3 platforms simultaneously ✅ Content calendar updates itself ✅ Telegram confirmation delivered instantly Time saved per week: 3-5 hours of manual content work eliminated. This is what I build for marketing agencies, coaches and content creators. If your team is still writing and posting content manually every day, let's talk. 🔗 Portfolio: timothy-aiautomation-portfolio.netlify.ap (http://timothy-aiautomation-portfolio.netlify.app)

Cover image for Do professional service businesses really
Do professional service businesses really need a personal brand? I started thinking about this after a conversation with my sister We were talking about family planning, the things people don't really understand about it, and how easy it is for people to make decisions based on information they don't fully understand And it got me thinking about professionals in general Imagine you're a doctor, you're already good at what you do. People in your area know you. You get patients through referrals and you're making money from your profession Do you really need a personal brand? My answer is: I think it helps but I don't think it should be forced and here's why Being good at what you do is one thing, being able to communicate what you're good at is another Imagine that same doctor starts sharing what they know online Not necessarily to get more patients maybe they just want to talk about health misconceptions, explain things people often get wrong, or make certain topics easier for people to understand Someone comes across one of their posts, they learn something, someone else shares it with a family member, another person follows them because they find their content useful Someone else thinks: "I've heard this person talk about this before, lett me ask them." And eventually, someone may need their expertise and remember them That's what I find interesting about personal branding, you don't always know what being visible can lead to It could be: A new connection A referral A collaboration Someone discovering your expertise A conversation Or even a client you would never have reached through your usual network And I think this applies beyond doctors Consultants Lawyers Accountants Recruiters Agency owners Coaches Other professionals whose businesses are built around their expertise But I also don't agree with telling every professional: "You MUST build a personal brand" Some people are already doing well through referrals Some don't enjoy being visible online Some simply don't need it right now And that's okay I think the better question is: "Would being more visible about what I know create an advantage for me?" If the answer is yes, then personal branding may be worth exploring If the answer is no, that's okay too You don't have to build a personal brand because everyone online says you should Build one because you have a reason to be more visible. That's my current thinking, anyway What do you think? I'll love to learn from your views on this in the comment section
