What would your workspace look like if you turned it into an ambient little world?
I recreated my actual workstation in Midjourney, with a little extra colour, mood lighting, and cinematic polish.
The warm desk lamp, cooler screen glow, my keyboard, books, and all the little things that make this corner mine. I wanted to capture that late-evening feeling when the rest of the world gets quiet and I can finally settle into my work:)
What's one thing in your workspace that you couldn't do without?
Mine's honestly just good desk lighting, everything else is negotiable. The reflections on your monitor and that neon glow read so convincingly though, how many passes did it take in Midjourney to get the lighting to behave like that?
This is peak cozy-desk fantasy, the warm lamp glow against the cool city on the monitor is what sells the whole mood. The little screen-within-a-scene trick makes it feel lived in, not staged. For me the one thing I could not work without is a good desk lamp, exactly like yours.
This works because the lighting is doing narrative work: the warm practical light says personal space, while the cooler screen glow says work in progress. A subtle environmental movement could push it even further and make the room feel like a character rather than a backdrop.
Capturing that dual color-temperature look between ambient lamp glow and screen bleed is always tricky in prompt engineering, but you nailed the atmosphere completely!
The mix of warm desk lighting and cool screen glow sounds like such a great way to capture that late-evening creative mood. It’s amazing how small details can make a workspace feel so personal.
A great workspace is more than a desk and a chair, it’s the light, mood, colors, and little details that make you actually want to create there. This setup gets that balance really well.
Where do you do your best work: desk, bed, another space ??
i love my quiet mornings in my bedroom-office, my two cats keeping me company sometimes. So I built this room around my ideal space: soft natural light coming in through the window, balanced by moody lamps (fluorescents...
AI really changed how I work. I spent the last month learning how to use it to amplify my work, now I’m looking for projects where I can put that into practice at scale. Open for work!
A month learning to use AI to amplify your work before taking it to clients is the right sequence, Jacob. Putting it into practice at scale is where the real lessons show up. All the best finding the right projects.
