This wasn’t about designing “another website.” It was about solving a positioning problem - how do you transform a service into something that feels premium, productised, and desirable?
The answer wasn’t more content.
It was clarity through storytelling + interaction.
Every decision - from the 🦄 interactive unicorn hero to the scroll-driven team integration and dynamic layouts, was built to communicate one thing clearly: value.
Because at this level, design isn’t decor.
It’s how businesses are understood.
Redesigning legacy local business websites: Is it better to burn it down and build totally modern from scratch, or preserve the nostalgic elements that regular customers recognize?
When taking on an established local shop (auto service, clinic, local store), how much of their old design language do you retain during a redesign?
I lean toward preserving the core identity and rebuilding the rest. Regulars trust the familiar bits, and a fresh foundation earns the trust of new customers.
