After a long silence — Power BI has been consuming all my hours 🎯
Just wrapped Page 1 of a multi-page sales performance dashboard for a supermarket chain client. This is what I've been building quietly instead of posting 😅
The problem:
My client was tracking sales in scattered reports — no single source of truth for MOM (Month-over-Month) trends, store performance, or daily variations. Leadership had to hunt through multiple sheets to answer basic questions.
What we built:
A live Power BI dashboard that answers:
✓ Which stores are underperforming? (Rankings updated daily)
✓ How much did revenue grow last month? (MOM % at a glance)
✓ Are we hitting targets? (Real-time KPIs with trend indicators)
✓ Which products drive revenue? (Top 10 breakdown)
✓ How do weekdays vs weekends compare? (Day-over-Day trends)
The tech stack:
Data cleaned in Excel → Loaded to Power BI → Published online → Live slicers for filtering by date, store, category
Pages 2 & 3 in progress (Store Analysis + Returns Breakdown). But honestly? This work is the kind you don't post about until it's done. Now it is.

Your Excel dashboard can look impressive and still be completely useless.
A lot of people think a good dashboard means:
More charts.
More colors.
More KPIs.
More visuals.
But that's not what makes a dashboard useful.
A good dashboard should answer 3 questions quickly:
What is happening?
Why is it happening?
What should I do next?
For example, instead of showing 10 different sales charts, a useful dashboard could immediately highlight:
→ Sales are down 12%
→ The decline is mainly from Product A
→ Region X is responsible for most of the drop
That's the difference between displaying data and communicating insights.
Don't build dashboards to show how much you know about Excel.
Build them to make decisions easier.

A Power BI dashboard built to analyze churn behavior across 6,687 customers for a business struggling with unclear retention insights. The dashboard combines geographic churn mapping, category-wise breakdown (Competitor, Attitude, Price), root-cause analysis by churn reason, and demographic segmentation by age group — all powered by Power Query for data modeling and DAX for calculated measures like churn percentage and churn weight. Key finding: price sensitivity drove 62% of churn, and customers under 30 represented the highest-risk segment at 56.6% of total churn weight. The result is a single-page, self-service view that lets stakeholders prioritize retention strategy by actual cause instead of guesswork.
