Do you ever try breaking the site you're interacting with? I'm always thinking "what will people try to do" and then coming up with a solution for it. If I saw a card like this I'd try to pick it up. Then once I discovered it was draggable, I'd try seeing what happens if I throw it outside the browser. What do you think?

That draggable card is a great example of treating the interface as something to explore, not just consume. The “what happens if I throw it outside the browser” test is exactly the kind of playful edge case that reveals whether an interaction feels truly intentional.

This is basically how I stress test my own interfaces too, if something looks grabbable I try to break it before a user does. The throw it outside the browser case is a good one, does the card just snap back, or did you build in a hard boundary so it can't leave the viewport at all?

The real QA begins when someone tries to yeet the card. 😄

The drag is the easy part. The decision is what state the card returns to: snapping back or staying where it was dropped answers whether that position means anything.

ok but what does happen if you throw it out

OFF FIELD plus that chopped up display type sells the whole attitude before you read a single line. Opening with the story instead of the stats is the move, most sports sites forget the athlete is a person first.

Designing for users trying to break the UI always creates the best micro interactions. Have you considered a slight hover pop or lift so visitors know right away it is draggable?

This is lovely how to you come up with this idea

that nothing on the page tells you to try dragging it is the real craft here
