reeeal wants to make AR affordable for SMEs and content creators. They want to simplify access to the technology and widen its use in marketing and advertisement campaigns.

Problems

High price of AR development The new product should transform the industry by making AR a day-to-day tool for marketing.

Technology adoption is low The target users are marketers and creative people who don’t know the tech aspects of AR. The product should be designed to satisfy their needs.

Approach

Conducting research Stakeholder interviews, competitive analysis, and interviews with potential customers from various industries.

Creating user personas The typical user is a marketer who is passionate about new ways to engage customers

Iterating and pivoting After the initial research, the pivot was made. We decided to move from a mobile app to a web application.

Mapping & wireframing

The user flow is simple and straightforward, keeping users focused on creation without dealing with technical details. The interface guides them seamlessly from start to finish.

Blue is the primary color, but the design also incorporates multiple colors to create a “trippy” and sci-fi mood.

High-fidelity mockups

Outcome

With a well-established UX, the company successfully launched and now partners with leading EU and US cultural institutions to provide high-quality immersive experiences, incorporating Web3 integrations.

Lessons learned

Don’t be afraid to pivot if client sessions reveal that the initial hypothesis isn’t sustainable in the current market.

I learned to manage a team, boosting my leadership skills and confidence. This was especially helpful in my last job, where I mentored junior designers.

I initially thought marketers and creatives were familiar with AR technology, but research showed they lack technical knowledge despite wanting to use AR. This is similar to how platforms like Wix and Framer enable non-tech users to create websites without coding.
