Zanfi is a modern sneaker brand seeking a bold, fashion-forward online presence. The project involved creating a full web design and styling a photography direction that matches the brand’s identity: contemporary, sleek, and expressive. The goal was to present the footwear in a way that feels premium, editorial, and aligned with a streetwear aesthetic.
Project Details
Role: Lead Designer (UX/UI + Photography direction)
Tools: Figma for layout and UI design; photography direction for visuals.
Focus: Unified visual identity, strong brand vibe, usability and flexibility
Challenges
Brand-style translation
Zanfi needed to translate its identity (fashion, attitude, youth culture) into a coherent digital world. The challenge was bridging the gap between editorial photography, lifestyle mood and a functional website design. The visual tone had to reflect both style and usability.
Visual consistency across contexts
Because the project includes both website UI and photography direction, ensuring consistency between product photos, campaign visuals and web layouts was critical. Without a unified vision, the site risked looking disjointed or generic.
Clear presentation on different devices
Users may browse sneakers on desktop or mobile, but first impressions matter equally on both. The design had to deliver strong visuals and maintain clarity, readability and impact across screen sizes.
Solutions
Editorial-style website layout
I designed a layout that treats the website like an editorial magazine — large hero visuals, generous spacing, clean typography and minimal distractions. This allows the photography to land hard and create an impactful mood while maintaining readability and flow.
Unified photography and UI visual language
Photography style, color palette, layout grid, typography, and spacing rules are all part of the same visual language. Photos, UI cards, product grids and content blocks share visual rhythm and contrast logic. This cohesion makes the site feel like a single, intentional world rather than a collection of random assets.
Responsive and flexible design system
The grid, image presentation, and UI components adapt to both desktop and mobile. Whether users browse on a large screen or their phone, the experience stays consistent: strong visuals, clear product information, and easy navigation.
User Benefits
Immersive brand experience: Visitors feel the sneaker brand’s identity from the first scroll — mood, attitude, lifestyle — before even clicking on a product.
Clear product discovery: Clean layout and consistent visual hierarchy help users quickly find products and relevant info without distraction.
Trust through aesthetic quality: The combined photos + UI design build belief in the brand’s professionalism, elevating perception far beyond a basic e-commerce feel.
Smooth, device-friendly browsing: Good browsing experience on desktop and mobile keeps accessibility and convenience high.
This project proves how editorial fashion visuals can blend with a robust digital UX/UI design. I created a brand world where photography and interface are equally important, and both serve the same purpose: representing the brand’s spirit and selling a product. It shows versatility and sensitivity to both style and function.
