🔎 Overview

Moreland Theater is a historic cinema with nearly a century of history that needed a refresh to remain relevant in today’s world. The goal was to create a new brand identity that would highlight the theater’s rich heritage and develop a website that combined authenticity with modern functionality. The objective was to make the theater’s brand and digital presence appealing to a broader audience, particularly younger generations.

The main challenge was to preserve the brand’s authenticity, resonating with loyal visitors, while integrating modern elements to attract younger audiences. The theater wanted to emphasize its unique history while adapting to the demands of the digital age by making ticket booking and audience interaction as seamless as possible.

🛣 Approach to the Project

To understand the audience’s needs, we conducted an in-depth analysis of user behavior and studied competitors in the culture and entertainment sectors. The main concept was to create a brand that harmoniously combines retro aesthetics with modernity. The logo became the centerpiece of the new identity—it evokes the look of old film reels while maintaining a contemporary feel and is adaptable across various media. Additionally, we developed dynamic color schemes that adjust to day and night modes.

The website design emphasized interactivity and creating a seamless user experience. One standout feature is the dynamic color scheme, which shifts after 6 PM to reflect the transition from day to night. This not only adds a sense of surprise and delight for users but also reinforces the brand’s connection to its iconic nighttime cinema experience.
Mobile Optimization for All Devices
The website was fully optimized for mobile devices, offering a responsive and intuitive design that allows users to explore showtimes, book tickets, and interact with the site on any screen size. This ensures a consistent and enjoyable experience, whether accessed from a desktop, tablet, or smartphone.
