Creatives Marketplace (SaaS)

Second Society (https://secondsociety.io) is a digital marketplace that fosters meaningful connections between creatives and companies seeking their services. As the primary designer, developer, fractional CTO, and product manager, I was deeply involved in all aspects of the project, ensuring its success from conception to execution.

Built using Bubble.io, our project embraced the principles of a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) model. The platform interfaces with APIs, employs Figma for design, integrates with the Stripe payment platform, and leverages Google Calendar and OAuth for enhanced user experience.

We have delivered a comprehensive suite of features, such as:

User Profiles: Where creatives can showcase their portfolio, set hourly rates, and integrate their profiles with Instagram.

Search Engine: Helps companies to find creatives based on a multitude of filters, such as name, location radius, hourly rates, and calendar availability.

Applicant Tracking System: Allows companies to post jobs, track applicants, and streamline the hiring process.

Contracts: The system allows for the creation and digital signing of contracts between parties, making business transactions smooth and reliable.

Chat System: Facilitates direct interaction between users.

Notification System: Both in-app and email notifications keep users updated about the progress of their activities on the platform.

Admin Dashboard: Enables seamless management of user accounts, blog system, and notifications.

One key aspect that sets Second Society apart is its billing and subscription management system, which is integrated with Stripe. This ensures secure transactions and allows for subscriptions, upgrades/downgrades, and the application of coupons/promo codes.

The marketplace is designed to be fully responsive, working seamlessly across different devices. An integration with Google Maps also enhances the usability of the platform, making it easier for companies to locate creatives in their vicinity.

The project successfully culminated in the launch of a web app that caters to the needs of both creatives and companies, providing a platform for them to connect, collaborate, and create. As a result, Second Society is an example of how strategic design and technology can come together to form a powerful tool for creative individuals and businesses.
