The Ultimate Diamond Ring Try-On Experience on iOS

In an innovative leap towards modernizing the jewelry industry, I successfully designed, developed, and launched PerfitRocks - an interactive iOS app that allows first-time ring buyers to virtually try on diamond rings in the comfort of their homes. This project's ultimate goal was to eliminate the guesswork from jewelry shopping and provide an engaging and personalized shopping experience.

As the project's leading technical force, I played a multifaceted role that transcended typical responsibilities. My tasks encompassed product management, development, and analytics, where I was integral in turning the vision into a reality. My role involved designing the user interface, writing the code for the application, and setting up analytics to understand user behavior.

I harnessed the power of Cordova for developing the iOS application, while Bubble was used for creating the landing page, database, and APIs. Firebase was utilized for back-end services, including database management and analytics. Additionally, I leveraged No-Code APIs for swift development and Background-Removal APIs to provide the feature of changing backgrounds to fantasy locations.

The top features of PerfitRocks include virtual ring try-on using Augmented Reality (AR), the ability to swap backgrounds, and an interactive interface that collects user behavior and ring-type preferences.

The success of this project is evident in its significant acceptance by the market. Since its launch on the iOS App Store, PerfitRocks has garnered more than a thousand downloads, with users actively engaging with the app, indicating a successful stride towards achieving our project goal. The analytics implemented have provided valuable insights into user behavior and ring preferences, data that is crucial for refining and enhancing the overall user experience.

The project deliverables included a hybrid native iOS app, a responsive and engaging landing page, a set of APIs to ensure seamless functionality, a robust database to store user-related data, and a well-implemented Google Analytics system complete with event tagging for understanding user interactions and behaviors. All in all, the PerfitRocks app has significantly elevated the ring shopping experience, providing users a comfortable, fun, and insightful way of purchasing diamond rings.
