Bo is an AI agent that books restaurant reservations, designed around a single position: an agent asking you to trust it with an irreversible action should show its work. We designed the product, the motion system, and the brand.
Most agent interfaces hide the work behind a spinner. You make a request, something happens, and you find out whether it went well afterwards. For a reservation, that means trusting a system with a table, a time, and a place you'll turn up to, with no visibility and no way to stop it.
The Strategy
Keep the agent inside the app rather than replacing it. Browsing stays available, and Bo opens as a sheet over it, so a user can hand over a request without losing where they were. Every step is visible, the agent asks rather than assumes, and nothing is committed until a single marked moment.
The Solution
A request enters as plain language and resolves through a sequence of visible states. Bo checks availability in view, narrows by cuisine, and returns options as they firm up.
Where reality doesn't match the request, Bo surfaces the conflict rather than silently substituting: a 1:30 slot offered when 1:00 isn't available, with the choice left to the user. Options carry real venue photography once they're confirmed to exist, so the interface shifts from abstraction to something concrete as the booking becomes real. The final confirm is the only irreversible action, and everything before it can be abandoned.
