And that's where positioning comes in.
Positioning is the process of defining:
What you do
How you do it
Who you do it for
But, why is it important?
Because it helps:
Tackle the right problem
Differentiate you from competitors
Appeal to the right audience
Make your message clear
Increase prices
Here's a great example of great positioning:
"Shopify helps people start an online store with ease so they can sell products they love and make a living."
Your position statement should be easy to understand and explain clearly what you offer.
